Hawaiian | Teriyaki Burger
Posted on September 5, 2013
I'm still dreaming of the islands! I got this recipe from a cookbook that I bought in Hawaii. The burger mixture is really wet so I ended up panfrying rather than grilling. The burgers stayed together. The recipe didn't have suggestions for toppings. I went with sharp cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce and Kings Hawaiian hamburger buns.
Yield: 8 burgers
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 egg
1/4 cup shoyu
1/4 cup sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
2 stalks green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Method
Combine all ingredients; mix well. Form into patties. Fry, grill, or broil.
